I went to ent to clean ear the bastard cut my tendon tensor tympanic now i have tinnitis hypercaus hearing loss dizziness i made a complaint to patient advocate now made appt for mri to see what he did because im assuming thats what he cut because of the symptoms im having .when he cleaned my ears i felt him really deep on ears like he made a slit on eardrum that dr is evil i just went for a dimple cleaning now im stuck for life because of him

Very helpful. Mine from in utero rubella is severe to profound both ears… 75-90. Hoping to get CI in my worse ear as hearing aids do nothing for it at all, no word discrimination. Had to reschedule appointments because of transportation. Hopefully I don’t have to wait another month.

I wore an "analog" hearing aid; I grew up with it. Then came "digital" hearing aids, which are useless to me. Because they have a peculiarity, they make conversations louder and the sound of the car behind me or the birds quieter. This is their "specificity." And for me, on the contrary, I need to hear cars and birds because I already recognize conversations quite well. Only under certain circumstances do I hear very poorly when a person is far from me, and there is no possibility of being closer (instructor, teacher, counsellor in a kinder campus...). No matter how much I asked to reconfigure the device - it's all in vain, they already twisted it to the maximum. And that's why I now feel that there is that hearing aid, that it is not there - there is no difference. That's why I completely stopped wearing a hearing aid. I have already accepted myself as I already am. Yes, my pronunciation suffers, and people make judgments about it. A cochlear implant may not help me because doctors suspect that either the nerves that carry sound to the brain are damaged or the area of ​​the brain responsible for hearing and recognition is affected. Since even hearing from the left side (absolute deafness) is not transmitted even through the auricle. I recently had fever for 4+ days, tonsil stones and by 3rd day my hearing went off in one ear. Doc gave me amoxycillin and suspected otitis media. After 5-6 days I tried balloon exercise and felt better. ENT specialist didnt mention any external issue, but asked for 2 tests and nasal endoscopy, which seems I need to bear cost in SGD. Any suggestions? My hearing is not back to normal after 2 weeks. I can hear people but in office environment I have difficulty hearing.

I had my Tampanoplasty surgery in 1988 in Toronto, still grafted well 36 years now, last 6 years got left Sinus infection due to Alergy or mold causing sticky mucous build up in middle ear now a days. The mucous fill the Etchurian canal while sleeping flat. Cause blocked left sinus & intake of air. When clean with warm salt water with Soda bicarbonate or few drops of apple Cider vinegar, clear the passage of inhalation including Etchurian tube then sleep. Standing sitting stay normal, also I found vacuuming or sucking feeling in throat during sleep. 😳😳

In the mean time i can barely talk above a whisper could by chance did the patch go to my larnex to destroy my voice? The patch was taken from the outer side of my ear and was flatten out and that was to be put on the hole,can you help me anyway please?

I went to bed hearing just fine in both ears. Woke the next morning and my left ear was so muffled it felt like it was stuffed with cotton. ENT did an MRI and said ear was fine structurally but full of fluid from Meniere's disease. Nothing could be done, just try to cut down on sodium. As a guitarist, I was devastated. No vertigo. No tinnitus. When people talk, it sound like a buzzing bee talking to me in that ear. Can't make out a word they say. This does interfere somewhat with my normal hearing in the right ear as it clashes with the words being spoken. So depressing. I need a miracle from God and will continue to petition Him daily. I believe in Him and his healing power. I must.

I am deaf in my right ear since birth. I don't really mind it much. I guess since I've never known any different it doesn't bother me as bad as some. The only thing I don't like or wish was different is not knowing where sound comes from. I can't find ringing phones or anything like that. I once heard a wimpering animal outside and it took me way too long to finally find a kitten that was stuck up a tree. I also had a pipe frozen in my home and when the water started thawing I had a busted water line. It ran for hours before I realized it was losing so much water. My water bill was so high.

Doc greetings from Ghana, please i had an infection which i didn’t help by inserting q tips into the ear and unfortunately ruptured my eardrum, luckily i didn’t lose hearing as per audiogram but i still have this ear pain and feeling of fullness along with tinnitus even after a year, my audiologist said my ears are fine but i can still experience this..can you you help with what could be going on?
